Behave Like a Christian Romans 12:9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. 10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; gen. agápēs, fem. noun from the second word,”LOVE”
( G0025 ), to love. Love, affectionate regard, goodwill, benevolence. With reference to God’s love, it is God’s willful direction toward man. It involves God doing what He knows is best for man and not necessarily what man desires. For example, John 3:16 states, “For God so loved [ēgápēsen] the world, that he gave.” What did He give? Not what man wanted, but what God knew man needed, i.e., His Son to bring forgiveness to man. It is important to live love and not to pretend you Know him and not give His love away. One way to do this is to “Abhor” ἀποστυγέω apostugéō; contracted apostugṓ; fut. apostugḗsō, from apó ( G0575 ), from, or an intens., and stugéō (n.f., see below), to hate. To hate, abhor, detest with horror ( Rom. 12:9 ). Deriv. of stugéō (n.f.): theostugḗs ( G2319 )
) hateful, detestable. Syn.: apostréphomai ( G0654 ), to turn away from; apotrépō ( G0665 ), to deflect; apophérō ( G0667 ), to bear off; apéchomai ( G0567 ), to hold oneself off, refrain; bdelússomai ( G0948 ), to abhor, detest; phríssō ( G5425 ), to shudder; apōthéomai ( G0683 ), to push off. You cannot say you love God and hate your brother. So behave like a Christian if you know Him, if you don’t know him quit faking it, ask the God of Heaven to give you what you really need, the real love, that comes as you give yourself to a ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ, not just what you want, but what you really need. it will for ever change you from the inside out. Love Him hate what is evil! You are loved….
